Sehar Hashmi shared on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube show that Sarah Khan wasn’t the original choice for the role of Dr. Fajar, even though she turned out to be a perfect fit for the character.
During her interview with Fuchsia Magazine, Sehar Hashmi opened up about nearly being cast in Sher. She revealed that for over a year, there had been talks about pairing her with Danish Taimoor. “I was initially considered for Sher. They reached out, and I even had a meeting with the director,” she said. However, due to certain external pressures and concerns about taking a chance on a newcomer, the opportunity didn’t move forward. Sehar explained that producers often hesitate to cast new faces because of the financial risks involved. Eventually, she found her breakthrough when she joined 7th Sky. There, producer Marry Baji and director Ali Faizan believed she was the right fit for the role of Riya — which led to her casting in Mann Mast Malang.
