While we can’t actually give them a cuddle, artist Ben Hed brings them to life through his heartwarming and humorous comic strips — a dose of cuteness that’s hard to resist. The pair has captured the hearts of fans around the world, helping Ben grow a massive Instagram following of over a million.

Despite the rising popularity, Ben stays grounded and true to his roots. “My approach to creating comics hasn’t really changed since the early days when I only had 25,000 followers,” he shared in an interview with Bored Panda. “Thanks to the incredible support from my audience, I’ve been able to pursue illustration as a full-time career. I know it’s a bit of a cliché, but I genuinely appreciate every single one of them.”

Pixie is a small, cheerful, and endlessly curious kitten. She’s full of energy and often blissfully unaware of the dangers around her. Brutus, her unlikely companion, is a burly, battle-scarred German Shepherd. Once a Military Working Dog, Brutus was taken in by Pixie’s owner after retiring from service.
